Makes about 6-8 burgers depending on size
700-800 g of quality ground beef (better from a local farmer, but if not from a local butcher)
6 slices of bacon
1 shallot or handful of chives
2 garlic cloves
1 large egg
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
Soya Sauce (to taste)
Dried basic, bouquet garni, cumin.
Chili powder
- Chop up the bacon and shallot|chives, and add to the ground beed in a metal bowl.
- Mince or microplane the garlic and add to the metal bowl
- Crack open the egg into the metal bowl
- Add the breadcrumbs and spices to the metal bowl
- Mix with hands. Yes, it does make it taste better!
- Return the bowl into the fridge for at least 30-60 minutes.
- Remove from fridge and form the burgers in the size that your family loves! [I prefer the slider size]
- Put the burgers on a place and return to the fridge for at least 60 minutes, no cover, let them dry out a bit.
- Cook on the BBQ. Get it to 145-150F at least in the middle.
Enjoy with a nice brioche bun, lettuce wrap, whatever you want to put it in and all of your favorite toppings.
